In the current business environment, demands are high for international management know-how and for graduates with a broad-based international business education. This course meets these market demands through the provision of an international curriculum which enables students with an appropriate HND qualification or equivalent to study towards an honours degree. The aim of this one-year course is to provide suitably qualified students with the necessary foundation of conceptual and technical knowledge to be a successful manager on an international platform. As well as studying generalist business subjects, students are able to select from a series of functional and territorial specialisms that help to develop an understanding of specific aspects of business and management in an international context. Nottingham Business School endeavours to develop and prepare students for the world of managerial work. To this end, personal development is an underpinning element of the course. Graduates will be able to offer heightened verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, numeracy, IT skills and organisational skills.

Each module undertaken on the course is assessed in a variety of ways. Examples of assessment include written examinations; evidence-based portfolios; individual and group coursework and presentations; and research projects.
