This is designed to provide adults without traditional qualifications with a fast track onto Higher Education programmes. The qualification is nationally recognized. The Core Units of IT, Maths, English and Study Skills are studied throughout the course. Students are supported by a personal tutor, have access to careers guidance staff, student counsellor and benefits advisor. They are assisted in the preparation of applications to university and have access to childcare.

Assessment is based on a modular credit accumulation system accredited by the Open College Network East Midlands Region (OCNEMR).

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements although students need commitment, enthusiasm and a good command of English. Places are offered subject to an interview, which will involve some written assessment.
