This course encourages the acquisition of knowledge of selected periods of history as well as developing anunderstanding of historical terms and concepts. In addition, it also explores the significance of events, issues and societies in history to understand the nature of historical evidence andmethods used by historians today. Students will usually progress on to Higher Education.

Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs A*-C, including two from English and Humanities subjects. GCSE History is not a prerequisite; however those with a D or below should not be admitted.
