Course info
This is a stimulating, new course offered in partnership with the New English Contemporary Ballet Company. The course is ideal for those students who wish to pursue a performance career in contemporary ballet or related genres. The training will encourage and develop individual's technique, creativity and performance as well as develop a kinaesthetic intelligence and understanding of dance as an art form. The programme consists of practical and theoretical modules.

Assessment method
Students receive a profile assessment at the end of the first and second terms. Assessment is undertaken via technique evaluation, coursework, practical projects and assignments.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should have: passes in five GCSE subjects one being in English or other qualifications and/or experience which suggests that the candidate has an equal opportunity of succeeding on the course. Other qualifications may include: Pass in a BTEC National Diploma or; Pass in a GNVQ or a combination of Academic and/or Vocational Qualifications equivalent to 2 'AS' Level passes or; Pass the College's matriculation examination. Candidates are required topass a practical audition. Candidates who pass the practical will be invited to attend an interview and an examination by anappropriately qualified physiotherapist.
