Course info
This course will prepare students for the next step in their education and enable them to progress to a Level 3 course such as the National Diploma in Art and Design. It aims students to develop a variety of skills in art and design and expand knowledge on the different career paths available. They will be introduced to a range of 2-D and 3-D media, materials, processes and technology and apply those to working projects. On completion of this course, students will progress to Art and Design National Diploma, National Certificate.

Students will be assessed by a combination of practical projects, presentations, written and external assignments.

Entry Requirements
Students must have four GCSE grade Ds or above (including English or Maths). They must also have a Foundation or Level 1 qualification which should be at merit standard or achieved 15 OCN units at Level 1.
