This course is designed to give participants an awareness of the needs of disabled people and the relationships between disabilities and the sport of canoeing; to enable them to widen the scope of their experience, so that they feel capable and confident of introducing disabled people into canoeing. It aims to enable more disabled people to participate in the sport of canoeing; to raise the awareness of canoeists and helpers of the needs of disabled people so they are able to coach and assist them safely and effectively.
